About Me

Who are you?
Hi there! I'm Karin, an artist passionate about digital art and storytelling. My creative journey began when I was a toddler, drawing with pencil and paper. Over the years, I’ve found inspiration in manga, anime, and comics, which helped me develop my own art style. Since then, I've been constantly experimenting with new techniques, blending manga and Western comic styles.
When I'm not drawing or working on my webcomic, you can find me reading novels and comics, watching crime dramas and comedies, or listening to music. My favorite genres in fiction are crime dramas, dark comedies, and thrillers.


What mediums do you specialize in?
I specialize in digital art, and sometimes acrylic painting and pencil sketches.


What drawing program do you use?
I draw using Medibang Paint Pro, a free drawing program you can download online.


What brushes do you use?
Below are the brushes::
• G-Pen - for line art
• Watercolor (Hard) - for shading
• Watercolor (Soft) - for shading
• Soft Fluffy Watercolor - for texturingThe first three brushes are default brushes found in Medibang Paint Pro's brush set. The last brush is a free download from Medibang Paint Pro's Cloud Materials.


What projects are you currently working on?
I'm currently working on my webcomic named Target Boskval. Besides that, I'm also trying to create more illustrations to add to my portfolio.


Do you take commissions?
For now, no.

What is Target Boskval about?
Target Boskval follows two main characters, Tapio Boskval and Hentrikki Akhelstin.Tapio Boskval is the boss of a struggling illegal drug business. Due to his violent profession, he is targeted by numerous vengeful foes.Hentrikki Akhelstin is a naïve teenage boy who wants to get rich quick, so he joined Tapio's business as a drug runner. However, after witnessing the chaos around him, he realizes that the drug business isn't as glamorous as it seems...


What genre does the story fall into?
The story falls into crime drama with elements of fantasy, such as magical fruits and spirits.


Where and when is the story set?
The story is set in an alternate world where a great flood has never subsided. As a result, humanity now lives on mountaintops to survive, where natural resources are scarce. Most crops that do survive are genetically modified to survive the cold mountains and are added special attributes. The city in which the story takes place is inspired by Brazilian favelas and Eastern European brutalist architecture.


Where can I read it?
The webcomic is not published yet. When it is, I plan to release it on Webtoon Originals and Tapas. Since each episode takes about two months to create, it may take some time.


What would you rate your story?
I would rate it 16+ due to strong language, drug use, and violence.
